Panasonic Energy Europe delivers batteries, torches or chargers to you, which are non-chemical products (“articles”) under the REACH Regulation, and which do not release substances or preparations under normal conditions of use. However, we are committed to meeting our obligations with respect to information regarding our products, and we hereby inform you that a substance used in Panasonic’s lithium batteries has now been added to the REACH list of substances (“Candidate List”). The material is 1,2 dimethoxyethane (CAS 110 71 4). This substance is used as a solvent for electrolyte in all lithium batteries (round cells, button cells, primaries and rechargeables).
